Just after posting last week about why people would want to sign with their babies, Two Little Hands Productions released this video of Rachael saying the same thing with a slightly different take. Enjoy.

I was asked this question today, If there was any reason I could think of, as to a negative to signing with children, and at the time, the only thing I could think of to say was no. However, now after thinking about it, I have a much better response than just no.
Teaching your baby to sign will help you communicate with them before their bodies are capable of speech. It improves the parent child bond, helps children speak earlier, gives them an increased vocabulary and can even help increase IQ. So given these benefits, why wouldn't you want to teach your child to sign? If the only reason is that you don't know how to sign yourself, there are easy solutions. Signing Time is perfect for Mom's on the go who want to turn their kids down time into fun learning time. Kids love to learn sign language and the fun songs make it easy to practice their new signs. So the next time you run an errand, need to make supper or even fold laundry, why not pop Signing Time in the DVD player? Your kids just might learn something while they are being entertained. Want to give it a try for free? Download our Welcome to Signing Time DVD and see how much fun the Signing Time program really is. |
